SHOCK ABSORBER NEEDLE VALVE SHORTENED

To lessen any possibility of the needle valve protruding too far from the wing shaft and rubbing against the brake rods when turning a sharp corner, the shock absorber needle cable assembly A-18037-A has been shortened approximately 1/16” (See Fig. 1169). NEW FRONT FENDER BRACKET ASSEMBLY

A new design front fender bracket assembly AA-16025 has been adopted to replace the A-16025-B4 front fender bracket assembly for production on all trucks and for service on all chassis. This part is approximately the same as the A-16025-B4, except that a reinforcement has been added at the bottom of the bracket. (See Fig. 1154.)

SIZE OF OIL PASSAGE HOLE IN PISTON INCREASED

To facilitate the flow of oil the size of the oil passage holes in the piston in the lower ring groove has been changed from .100 to .125″. (See Fig. 1172.) The width of the milled slot in the oil control ring was also increased.

“AA” DIFFERENTIAL GEAR CASE· SCREWS

To lessen any possibility of the “AA” differential gear case screws imbedding them- selves in the malleable iron gear case, the screw has been redesigned to produce a larger head area (see Fig. 1176). The new screw (AA-4216) replaces the A-21168 screw for both production and service on all AA-4000-K and L truck axles.
