On a few of the early 1930 single rear wheel AA trucks, a scalloped design hub was used- (See Fig. 1082.)

A few instances have been brought to our attention where single rear wheel trucks equipped with this scalloped hub were constantly operated under excessive loads and the heavy strain damaged the wheels.

We have therefore released a flanged steel adapter plate AA-1123-R (see Fig. 1083) for installation next to the hubs on these early 1930 jobs. Dual wheel nuts AA-1132-3 and AA-1134-5-A are used in making the installation.
