CHANGE IN REAR DOOR LOCKING DEVICE

To lessen any possibility of the rear doors working loose when driving over exceptionally rough roads, a new rear door latch and rod assembly have been released for production and service on models 85-B “AA” panel delivery, 79-B “A” panel delivery and 225-A “A” panel delivery with drop floor.

The following door latch and rod assemblies have been obsoleted and replaced by new assemblies as follows:

A-81002-B and A-81003 rear door rod and connecting link assembly R. H. and L. H., used on model 79-B “A” panel delivery, have been obsoleted and replaced with A-81026 and A-81027 rear door latch and rod assemblies R.H. and L. H.

AA-87120-C and AA-87121 rear door rod and connecting link assemblies R. H. and L. H., used on model 85-B “AA” panel delivery, are obsolete and replaced by AA-87112 and AA-87113 rear door latch and rod assemblies R. H. and L. H.

A-227002 and 227003 rear door rod and connecting link assemblies R. H. and L. H., used on model 225 “AA” panel delivery with drop floor, are obsolete. They are replaced by A-227006 and A-227007 rear door latch and rod assemblies R. H. and L. H.

Inasmuch as the above old design assemblies and their component parts have been obsoleted, when requests are received for any of the old design parts supply a complete new design assembly and rework the rear door scuff plate and the roof rail rear striker plate and bumper plate assemblies as shown in Fig. 1148.
