LUBRICATING SHOCK ABSORBERS

When lubricating shock absorber connecting links, the pressure gun should be held on the lubricator fitting until lubricant escapes from both the top and bottom of the link. (See Fig. 1183.) Some mechanics are failing to do this, as a result the upper ball joint does not receive lubrication and results in premature wear and a noisy shock absorber.
