To lessen any possibility of breakage of the lugs on the gas tank filler screen head, the width of the lugs and slots has been changed from 3⁄8” to 1⁄2″ (see Fig. 865). A heavier gauge material is also being used in the manufacture of this part.

The old and new design screen heads can be used interchangeably.
