A-46116-R LOCK CYLINDER OBSOLETED

A-46116-R lock cylinder and key assembly has been obsoleted. If calls are received for this part after present stocks are exhausted, supply A-46123-E lock cylinder and A-11586-C key. The key can be cut on your key cutting machine and the tumblers in the lock cylinder then fitted to the key.

Removing Lock Cylinder

Referring to lock cylinder removal article, on page 516, in December Service Bulletin, be sure the lock is in the unlocked position before attempting to remove the cylinder. Then after placing tool 52-2794 over the key, turn the key about 1⁄8 turn to the left and the lock cylinder will snap out of the lock.

Door Window

When installing a window regulator handle, make sure that the handle is installed so that it is on the downward travel when window is closed tight. (See Fig 503) this will prevent any possibility of the weight of the handle slightly lowering the window when traveling over rough roads.
