SUPPORT SPRING STRENGTHENED

To still further increase the strength of the A-6031 engine front support auxiliary spring, a flange has been added around the hole for the engine support stud and a bead added next to the hole. (See Fig. 1224.) This type of construction materially increases the strength of this part.

SIZE OF HOLE IN AUXILIARY SPRING INCREASED

Sometimes the shank or stud of the engine front support will rub against the side of the auxiliary spring and cause a slight squeak. To eliminate this, the stud hole in the spring has been changed from 15/32 to 17/32”. (See Fig. 923.)

ENGINE REAR SUPPORT REDESIGNED

The AA-5089-B and 5090-B frame to engine rear supports have been redesigned and are now made from heavier gauge metal.
