The spark plug gap has been changed from .027″ to .035″. This new setting has been found to give better all-round performance. When an engine does not idle properly, often all that is necessary is to slightly open up the spark plug gaps. When an instance of this kind is brought to your attention, always …
Remove spark plugs, thoroughly clean and adjust the points until the gap measures between .032″ and .035″. In some cases, where a motor does not idle satisfactorily, the gaps can be set slightly larger. Engineers state that best results are obtained by replacing spark plugs every 10,000 miles.
